Enter the Contest

Three divisions of the contest are offered: veterinary, undergraduate, and graduate students. Entry forms for the divisions are below and must be received by the deadline of October 15, 2018 for the November 16-18, 2018 contest

Travel and Accommodations    

Veterinary Students

Veterinary students enrolled in an AVMA Council on Education-accredited institution are eligible to compete in the contest. To encourage participation in the and to assist in removing related financial impediments, the AVMA offers up to 25 travel grants (maximum of $400/student and a maximum of 4 grants awarded per accredited school) for interested veterinary students. Undergraduate/Graduate Students

Undergraduates enrolled in an accredited institution (including Community Colleges and Junior Colleges) offering a curriculum in animal sciences, zoology or other animal-focused studies students are eligible for participation in the undergraduate division. Graduate students enrolled in an accredited institution offering advanced degrees in animal sciences, zoology or other animal-focused studies are eligible for participation in the graduate division. AVMA Member Veterinarians

A limited number of AVMA members will have the opportunity to take part in the event as non-competitive participants. Up to five AVMA members will be selected to participate and to receive awards of $1,000 toward travel costs, thanks to funding provided by Merck. If you're interested in being one of those five members, please complete the member application form below and return it no later than Sept. 28, 2018 to skuca@avma.org. Selected participants will be notified by Oct. 8.
